School Council
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The aim of The Charter School’s Council is to work with all staff and students to provide excellent facilities for each and every child at The Charter School. We are here to improve the experience for students at the school by making it a friendly, supportive, learning environment where students are valued and make positive contributions to the school’s decisions.

Ø Researched and analysed the possibility to bring back the PIPS and non-uniform days. A week trial for the PIPS is being considered for next year.
Ø Discussed, researched and investigated summer uniform for girls. A lady from the uniform shop showed students samples, explained how many of each size would need to be ordered/paid for. The majority opinion from the y8 cohort was that the dresses were too expensive and not attractive enough to all the girls to make them compulsory, which means it will not be possible to go further with the idea. Nevertheless the y8 Councillors could see how commercial realities affect how decisions are made and what is possible in the first place.
